Lake Forest Pediatrics finds success with OTech Kiosks

We’re proud to feature Lake Forest Pediatrics in our “Client Spotlight” newsletter this summer. Lake Forest was our first client and its first patient, Owen, was checked-in on January 26, 2005 (see photo at right). Since then, the clinic has checked in hundreds of thousands of patients and has saved over $500,000! And, the patients at the clinic have a 96% positive response rate to a survey asking about ease of use and if they’d use it again. Needless to say… the OTech self check-in kiosk has been a success!

Lisa MacNair, Associate Administrator, at Lake Forest Pediatrics in Illinois describes that the clinic was first drawn to implementing the OTech Self Check-In Kiosk system because it offered “the opportunity to eliminate the need for staff in the long run, streamline the check in process, and offer current technology solutions for patients.” Since then, her patients have adapted to the kiosk check-in process well and she says they like “the self service, ease of use, large uncluttered display and the ability to speed the process along.”

The clinic integrates the kiosk with the Intergy PMS. And if and when system issues arise, she describes OTech’s service as “prompt” and “accessible.” Other benefits to using the kiosk system at Lake Forest Pediatrics are that they have not hired a new front desk staff member when a person leaves, and they right sized an office which allowed them to focus resources where it was most needed.
